Examine the area of pain, discover the source(s) of your discomfort, and combine manual therapy and movement to eliminate the pain.
Phase 2: mobility
Locate the joints and muscles that are stiff, tight, or restricted, and restore optimal range of motion using chiropractic care and soft tissue techniques: dry needling, scraping, cupping, stretching and other therapies.
Phase 3: stability
Develop proper motor control and strengthen area/ surrounding areas to build tissue integrity and rebuild capacity.
Phase 4: integrate
Putting it all together. Dynamic total body movements that are progressed to solidify and coordinate the changes made.

Flexion Distraction is a gentle and safe technique that provides a controlled form of traction specifically designed for spinal pain relief. Between our vertebrae we have spongy discs. These discs provide cushion and lubrication so your joints can move freely and without pain. Without spinal discs, your bones would rub against each other, causing extreme pain and stiffness. Throughout the day, gravity pulls down on your body, squeezing and compressing your discs. Add that on top of poor posture, prolonged periods of sitting, improper movement, lifestyle, dehydration, etc. Flexion distraction lightly distracts the spine creating more space and flexion provides a pumping movement allowing fluid to refill those spongy disc. More disc height allows for more room for your nerves and greater ranges of motion. Flexion distraction is great for anyone with low back pain, disc injuries, sciatica, arthritis, stenosis, or anyone that spends prolong periods of time sitting or standing.

The way our body communicates is through nerves, which can be thought of as the power lines in your house. The spine acts like the circuit breaker. If anything is stuck, misaligned, or under pressure, the body doesn’t function as it should. A chiropractic adjustment involves applying a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint or extremity. The goal is to improve spinal motion and enhance your body's physical function. The “pop” or “crack” you hear and feel during an adjustment is the release of gas from the joints. This lubricates the joints, increasing the range of motion and reducing pain.

Active Release is a soft tissue technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia (connective tissue), and nerves. This technique combines the actions of massage and stretching, think of it like a pin and stretch. This compressive force combined with the lengthening of the tissue underneath helps breakdown adhesions and scar tissue. It also helps release spastic muscles and restore normal function. Active release is great for both acute and chronic injuries, muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendinopathies, and radiculopathies.

Dry needling uses a thin monofilament needle that goes into the trigger point and surrounding areas. The intent of dry needling is to release trigger points, increase circulation, relax musculature, and improve function. When the needle hits an active trigger point, a “muscle twitch” occurs, where the muscle contracts and then relaxes. This technique is particularly beneficial for large muscle groups such as the glutes, hamstrings, quads, and shoulders, where it is challenging to reach deep tissue with hands alone. It is also effective on ligaments and tendons, which receive less blood supply than muscles. Additionally, dry needling is helpful for treating chronic and postural injuries. By causing microdamage, it restarts the body's natural healing process. Dry needling is great for conditions like sciatica, upper/lower cross syndrome, golfer's/tennis elbow, Achilles tendinitis, and more.

Why does our body bruise? Because it knows exactly what to do. When there's trauma, our body pools blood in the damaged area to speed up healing. Blood contains nutrients essential for healing. Cupping therapy uses suction cups to pool blood in specific areas to promote healing. It also stimulate the skin and muscles, promoting increased blood circulation, and decreasing muscle tension. This technique also provides a decompressive force, reducing stress on joints and muscles.

Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization uses specially designed, medical grade stainless steel tools to break up scar tissue and help improve function of injured areas of your body. Scar tissue can affect the way your muscles and tendons work. By breaking up scar tissue, you will increase flexibility and movement while decreasing pain. IASTM also causes irritation to the skin which improves blood flow, and promotes healing. IASTM is great for sprains/ strains, tendinopathies (golfers/ tennis elbow, runners knee, Achilles tendonitis), and fascial injuries (plantar fasciitis).

Voodoo floss is a large rubber band that is tightly wrapped around a specific area. Movements are then performed, both unloaded and loaded. This combination of pressure and movement creates a shearing force between the tissues. The band restricts blood flow, and when removed, a significant rush of new blood flows to the area. This process helps restore joint range of motion, increases blood flow to restricted areas, and compresses swollen, stiff joints, enhancing mobility.

Blood flow restriction (BFR) training is a technique used in both exercise and rehabilitation, where an inflatable tourniquet (such as a cuff or elastic band) is placed around the upper part of the arm or leg to limit blood flow during physical activity. The primary aim of BFR training is to boost strength gains while using lighter weights, minimizing stress on the muscles and preventing excessive breakdown.

Lightforce Laser Therapy or photobiomodulation, is the process of photons entering the tissue and interacting with the cytochrome c complex within the cell mitochondria. The result of this interaction, and the point of conducting laser therapy treatments, is the biological cascade of events that leads to an increase in cellular metabolism (promoting tissue healing) and a decrease in pain. Laser therapy is used to treat acute and chronic conditions as well as post-activity recovery. It is also used as another option to prescription drugs, a tool to prolong the need for some surgeries, as well as pre and post-surgery treatment to help control pain.

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body's natural healing process. It uses strong acoustic sound-waves that travels deep down to breakup the area which "restarts" the healing process. It can be thought of as a jackhammer going in there and breaking it down. It can relieve pain and promote healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It accomplishes this by releasing growth factors in the injured tissue.
